Slovenia's Capital Assets Management Agency (AUKN) on Wednesday issued a tender for the sale of 74.87% of shares in the national air carrier Adria Airways.

Non-binding offers from interested investors are collected by the consulting firm Barons Financial Service and should be submitted by September 10.

The Slovenian government, through state funds and banks, owns more than 90% of the company, which has been operating at a loss in the last few years and has been unsuccessfully looking for a strategic partner, among which Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and the Indian national carrier have been mentioned.

The call for non-binding offers was published in British newspaper The Financial Times and the American and Asian editions of The Wall Street Journal.
