The Croatian currency kuna continued to depreciate against the Swiss franc which on Wednesday reached a record high mean exchange rate of one franc to HRK 7.164275, according to the Croatian National Bank's latest exchange rate list.
In Croatia, more than 42% of housing loans and 47% of car loans are pegged to the Swiss franc. The franc has gained 9.5% in value since the beginning of last week.
The kuna also depreciated against the euro by 0.06%, with the euro-kuna exchange rate being one euro to HRK 7.447980. The US dollar depreciated by 0.66%, with the dollar exchange rate being one dollar to HRK 5.180483. The pound-kuna exchange rate was one pound to 8.405349 kuna, a 1.60% drop in the value of the UK currency.
