The Croatian ministry of foreign affairs and European integration (MVPEI) on Thursday stated that it had received a note from the Holy See's Secretariat of State with a request for explanations of the justice ministry's decision to declare as null and void the previous acts on giving back land and property to the Dajla parish and to award it back to the Republic of Croatia.
Following media inquiries, the foreign ministry can confirm that it has received a note from the Holy See's Secretariat of State which requests an explanation of the justice ministry's decision to annul documents on the restitution of property to the parish of Dajla and award it back to the Republic of Croatia, the MVPE said in a press release.
Upon an analysis of the content of the note, the foreign ministry, in cooperation with other state agencies, will provide the Vatican with answers regarding the note, reads the press release.
