Republika Srpska (RS) Assistant Agriculture Minister Radmila Cojo said on Tuesday that after a brief suspension, milk from the Bosnian Serb entity would be exported to Croatia again as a result of talks RS representatives had had in Zagreb with representatives of the Croatian veterinary department.

"We have received assurances that we will be able to export milk and dairy products to Croatia until 1 July 2013, which is good news," she said, adding that in the meantime Bosnian authorities would ask the European Commission to carry out an inspection so that milk could be exported to Croatia and the European Union via a company in Kozarska Dubica.

The Croatian Agriculture Ministry recently ordered the return or destruction of shipments of sterilised milk from RS. Bosnian dairy companies countered by requesting a ban on the import of milk and dairy products from Croatia.
