The Croatian Football Federation (HNS) secretary-general, Zorislav Srebric, was quoted by the Croatian national television (HTV) as saying on Wednesday evening that if it was proved that the first match of the finals of the Croatian football cup in 2009 was fixed, Dinamo would be stripped of that title.

UEFA officials are conducting an inquiry in the Dinamo-Hajduk match (3-0), following suspicions raised by the German police that the game might have been rigged.

"After the completion of the proceedings, we will make appropriate decisions," Srebric said adding that individuals, who might have been engaged in the rigging, could face admonition or be banned from membership in the football federation.

If proven guilty, clubs may be relegated to the second division or be stripped of the title.

Earlier on Wednesday, the HNS issued a statement reporting that Bruno Maric, who was the main referee in the disputable match and the Dinamo sports director, Zoran Mamic, are treated by the UEFA as suspects in this case.
