A police officer serving with the European Union rule of law mission in Kosovo was shot dead in northern Kosovo on Thursday morning, the French news agency AFP said, quoting a statement by the EULEX mission.
The policeman, whose identity was not revealed, was killed when two EU vehicles came under fire in northern Kosovo.
"At 8.15 am we received one EULEX staff member wounded with two bullets who wasn't showing any signs of life. After a failed attempt at resuscitation, he was pronounced dead at 8.50," a doctor at the hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica said.
