The credit rating agency Fitch on Tuesday confirmed Croatia's current credit rating, noting that the country needs additional measures of fiscal consolidation and structural reforms in order to boost economic growth and stabilise public finances.
Fitch has thus retained Croatia's long-term foreign currency credit rating at BBB- and long-term local currency rating at BBB.
It also confirmed the country's negative outlook as well as the short-term foreign currency rating F3, confirming the BBB+ ceiling.
Croatia's current credit rating is at the bottom investment status level.
Fitch representatives visited Croatia in early February for a regular annual check of the country's credit rating.
