The Croatian Economy Ministry on Monday published the new upper limits of fuel prices for the 20 March - 2 April period, whereby the top-selling Eurosuper 95 petrol fuel will for the first time cross the psychological price mark of 11 kuna per lite. Its upper limit is now set on HRK 11.04 per litre.

According to the ministry, prices of petrol may rise between HRK 0.27 and 0.31 per litre, while prices of diesel fuel, a liquid fuel used in diesel engines, and of heating fuels can go up between 0.10 and 0.15 kuna.

The price of blue-dyed fuel, intended for agricultural machinery and fishing boats, can go up 0.12 kuna, rising from HRK 6.54 to HRK 6.66 per litre.

Oil companies and petrol stations may change the prices over the next two weeks but may not exceed the set upper limits.

The prices of fuels are defined every two weeks in accordance with trends in retail pricing of oil products on the Mediterranean market and the exchange rate of the US dollar, with the increases or decreases not exceeding three percent.
