Google on Wednesday launched its Google Street View for Croatia, and this service from Google Maps and Google Earth provides panoramic views of many streets, landmarks and historical buildings throughout Croatia.
The country manager for the Adriatic region at Google, Josko Mrndze, said at the ceremony in Zagreb that Google had so far lunched its Street View service within its Google Maps for 41 countries and that today this service was also launched from Andorra and Chile.
The Google Street View for Croatia covers most of the main cities and islands and the service will be further developed and amended, Mrndze said, adding that all costs of the project of marking cities and taking photos were covered by Google.
Tourism Minister Veljko Ostojic, who attended the ceremony, expressed satisfaction with cooperation with Google in promoting Croatia's tourist trade.
