The government's public relations service on Saturday refuted media allegations about a government reshuffle, labelling them as fabrications, and called on journalists and editors to abide by the basic tenets of journalism and check information from at least two independent and relevant sources.
The service described as "entirely incorrect, fabricated and misplaced" the stories in some media, which carried an article by Dubravko Grakalic in Novi List daily of today to the effect that a government reshuffle is a done deal which should occur by mid-summer.
The service stressed that no ministers would be replaced and that there would be no government reshuffle.
"The author of the article not only did not contact us, but evidently did not follow the prime minister's statements in which he dismissed all speculation about replacements in the government," the service said, adding that only a few days ago PM Zoran Milanovic clearly said in two interviews that the government's policy was strategically conceived as restoring order in the state and that there would be no changes in the government or giving up from restoring order.
