Croatia's President Ivo Josipovic has forwarded a letter with best wishes on the occasion of the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan and on the occasion of the three-day Ramadan Bayram holiday.
"I wish the faithful to spend the holiday together with their families in a joyful and peaceful atmosphere and that the spiritual encouragement of Ramadan Bayram may serve as encouragement for the commitment to peace, tolerance and commonweal," the president said in his congratulatory note which he forwarded on Friday to the main mufti of the Islamic Community in the country, Aziz Hasanovic, other Muslim dignitaries and Muslim believers in Croatia.
The head of the Roman Catholic Bishops Conference's council for ecumenism and dialogue, Sisak Bishop Vlado Kosic, has also sent his congratulatory message on the occasion of this Islamic holiday, which is also called Eid ul-Fitr.
