The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) will elect its new leadership at the 15th general convention to be held in Zagreb's Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall on May 20, party leader Jadranka Kosor said after a session of the HDZ's presidency and national committee.
Kosor said the party's senior bodies decided unanimously to hold intra-party elections for the HDZ's municipal, city and county branches from February 11 to May 5.
The party leadership also agreed on election quotas for the 15th general convention to be attended by 2,200 deputies.
So far, candidacies for HDZ president have been submitted by current HDZ leader Kosor, her deputy Darko Milinovic, Domagoj Ivan Milosevic, Tomislav Karamarko, Milan Kujundzic and Drago Prgomet.
