On Friday's Croatian National Bank (HNB) exchange rate, the kuna appreciated against the euro 0.02 per cent from Thursday and 0.15 per cent from last Friday.
According to today's midpoint exchange rate, applicable on Saturday, one euro is worth 7.483975 kuna.
Earlier this week, one euro exceeded 7.5 kuna for the first time in six years.
On Monday, the HNB intervened on the foreign exchange market by selling EUR 180.5 million, whereby the central bank withdrew more than HRK 1.35 billion.
On Tuesday, the HNB Council adopted a decision increasing the rate of reserve requirements from 13 to 14 per cent, whereby about HRK 3.1 billion will be withdrawn from the banking system. The withdrawal is aimed at stabilising the kuna-euro exchange rate and the decision will go into force on October 12.
On the week, the kuna appreciated 1.33 per cent against the Swiss franc and 0.26 per cent on the pound sterling, while the US dollar appreciated against the kuna by 1.95 per cent.
According to today's midpoint exchange rate, one Swiss franc is worth 6.128378 kuna, one pound sterling 8.554092 kuna and one US dollar 5.533029 kuna.
