Zlatko Komadina has resigned as Maritime, Transport and Infrastructure Minister, the government said in a statement on Wednesday, adding that Komadina resigned for health reasons and that he informed Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic of his decision.
In a letter to Milanovic, Komadina said: "Despite my wish to contribute, as a member of the government, to the reform process ahead of us, notably in the sector of transport and infrastructure, unfortunately my health situation does not allow me to do so. The decision was difficult, but I simply cannot ignore my doctor's advice."
Until a new minister is appointed, Deputy Minister Zdenko Antesic will run the ministry, the government said.
