The Agriculture Ministry on Monday called on dairy farms not to cease milk deliveries, saying that less than 10% of the milk producers joined in the protest action by suspending milk deliveries.

Earlier on Monday, dairy farmers' representative Antun Laslo said that about a million litres of milk had not been delivered by dairy farms throughout Croatia.

Dairy farmers suspended milk deliveries to milk processors throughout the country until their demand for the purchase price of HRK 4.05 per litre was met.

The ministry said that the situation was stable and that the supply of milk would be ensured.
