The 14th annual Motovun Film Festival was opened on Monday evening.
The festival, opened by high-profile lawyers Ante Nobilo and Cedo Prodanovic, will feature recent films from around the world, from dance documentaries to documentaries about fighting, from A list action pictures to low-budget productions.
The main programme comprises 28 new films.
Ireland is this year's partner country and 16 of the best films of its cinema will be shown. About 15 Irish actors, directors and producers are due to come to Motovun.
The festival will close on 29 July.
