The result of Sunday's referendum on the Srdj golf course project is a good message to investors in Croatia, showing that they can trust Croatia and wrap up projects they have started, Regional Development and EU Funds Minister Branko Grcic and Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak said on Monday.
The referendum on the construction of a golf course on the plateau of Srdj hill overlooking Dubrovnik failed because only 31.5 per cent of eligible voters turned out for the vote. Under the law, 50 per cent plus one voter must vote in a referendum in order for it to be successful.
