The seventh Scholarships and Educational Programmes Fair, which will take place at the National and University Library in Zagreb on Wednesday, will bring together 44 exhibitors from nine countries, who will promote scholarships and other forms of financial aid for university education in Croatia and abroad, study programmes and other educational services.
The organiser of the event -- the Institute for the Development of Education -- expects that the programmes to be presented at the fair will facilitate the granting of more than 7,700 scholarships for university education in Croatia and 1,600 for university education abroad.
The country-partner at this year's fair is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The British educational system is globally recognised for its excellence, and visitors at the fair will have the opportunity to talk with British exhibitors and former recipients of British scholarships.
The British Embassy in Zagreb has said on its web site that it "is glad to announce the opening of a new round of British Government-funded scholarships, known as the Chevening Scholarships, for the academic year 2012-2013," including Croatia Chevening Cambridge Scholarships for the academic year 2012-2013.
All those unable to attend the fair in Zagreb will have the opportunity to visit the On-line Scholarships and Educational Programmes Fair available on the organiser's web portal from 20 October 2011 to 1 May 2012.
