The Social Democratic Party (SDP) did not discuss at all ousting former environment minister Mirela Holy from the party nor was any extraordinary party presidency session planned on that, the ruling party said in a press release on Sunday over speculation that Holy would be ousted from the party.

The party said that regardless of media pressure, it did not comment on articles based on gossip.

Novi List daily said today the SDP was allegedly thinking about ousting Holy for damaging the party's reputation by claiming that Deputy Prime Minister Radimir Cacic had physically threatened her.

The newspaper said that although Holy's ousting from the party "is (still) not on the agenda, it is well known how Mirela Holy's statements have provoked (Prime Minister and SDP president Zoran) Milanovic."

The article added that the SDP was allegedly thinking about ousting Holy's former deputy Davor Skrlec as well because of his statements about Cacic's behaviour.
