High jumper Blanka Vlasic and shot-putter Nedzad Mulabegovic were named Croatia's best female and male track-and-field athletes for 2010, at a ceremony organised by the Croatian Athletics Federation in the Hotel Park in the southern coastal city of Split on Tuesday evening.
This year Vlasic won the World Indoor Champion, European Outdoor Champion and Diamond League titles, and was recently proclaimed by the International Association of Athletics Federations the World Athlete of the Year.
Mulabegovic was sixth at the European championships in Barcelona and won the Croatian champion title.
