A memorial ceremony was held in Dubrovnik on Tuesday to mark the 16th anniversary of a plane crash near the city's airport in which a US delegation led by Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown were killed.
All 35 passengers on board, including two Croatian nationals, were killed in the accident.
Mayor Andro Vlahusic and US Deputy Ambassador Hoyt Yee spoke of the importance of the US mission led by Ron Brown, whose task was to establish economic cooperation between the two countries and attract US investors to Croatia.
The Ron Brown Forum is taking place today to continue the mission of Ron Brown and his associates, the US deputy ambassador said.
