The Bloc of United Pensioners (BUZ) on Sunday criticised the current government for the worst position of pension recipients in the past twenty years and in response to the release of a video on the achievements which the government led by Social Democrat Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic made in the first six months of its term, this association of nonparliamentary pensioners' parties said that the incumbent cabinet "has done nothing in six months".

BUZ coordinator Lazar Grujic said in a statement that, when it came to the effects of the annulment of privileged pensions, this was about "only small modifications" and that none of those entitled to such pensions stopped receiving them.

In reference to the government's emphasis on budget cuts, Grujic says that no one in the world boasts a smaller state budget, as the smaller budget means admitting that the national economy is stagnating or contracting.

BUZ also accuses the government of not being able to reinvigorate the staggering economy and of increasing taxes to offset the bad effects of its economic policy.

Contesting the government's statement about higher pensions, Grujic said that the latest indexation was the result of agreements between pensioners' associations and the previous government.

According to him, this increase in the pensions has been actually annulled with the gas, water and electricity price hikes.
