Booing at Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic cast a shadow over the magnificent celebration, but one should not look for those responsible, the president of the opposition Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Tomislav Karamarko, said when asked to comment on loud cries of disapproval from the audience during PM Milanovic's speech at the central celebration of Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and Homeland War Veterans' Day in the southern Croatian town of Knin on Monday.
"I am not happy, I believe this has cast a shadow on the celebration which was truly magnificent," Karamarko told reporters in Knin, adding that dissatisfaction with Milanovic's opinion and policy should be expressed at the elections.
He, however, reiterated Milanovic's policy had ruined Croatia economically.
Veterans Minister Predrag Matic said it was very difficult for him to listen the audience boo at PM MIlanovic.
Former PM Jadranka Kosor said booing at today's celebration was inappropriate as this day belonged to all of us.
"There are many ways of expressing disapproval of the state policy and the best way to to so is at polling stations," Kosor said.
