A Zagreb court can give Radimir Cacic the same or a milder sentence, namely it can pardon him or reduce the sentence in compliance with the Hungarian side, Cacic's attorney Cedo Prodanovic said on Thursday evening.
Prodanovic said his statement was prompted by controversial interpretations of the verdict against Cacic, recalling that the Hungarian judiciary referred the procedure of enforcing the sentence to the Croatian judiciary on 20 December 2012.
The county court in the Hungarian city of Kaposvar late last year found former Croatian First Deputy Prime Minister Radimir Cacic guilty of a fatal traffic accident in Hungary in 2010 and handed down a prison term of 22 months.
