Economic expert Ljubo Jurcic will be heading the slates of a coalition of three political parties in forthcoming parliamentary elections, set for December 4. The coalition, comprised of the political bloc Pensioners Together, the Primorje-Gorski Kotar Alliance and the Croatian Labour Party, will run in 11 constituencies and on Sunday it submitted its lists of candidates to the State Election Commission.

"We expect to win at least one seat in each constituency, but we can't say how many seats we could win at the most," Jurcic told reporters before submitting the slates together with partners from the coalition.

Jurcic said that the coalition, gathered around the Croatian Economic Initiative, was a new factor on the political scene and that it wanted to put an end to stagnation both in the economy and in the social sector.

Asked by reporters if he believed that there was room on Croatia's political scene for new people considering its current division into two main political camps, Jurcic said that a large number of voters were undecided because they did not see a solution to the current situation in either of those two camps, which he said was where his coalition saw room for itself.
