The Swiss franc on Tuesday fell by a record high 7.24% against the kuna to trade at HRK 6.227655, according to the Croatian National Bank's midpoint exchange rate list, applicable on Wednesday.
The fall is a result of trends on the international currencies markets and the decision by the Swiss National Bank to set an exchange rate cap of 1.20 francs to the euro.
Against the euro, the kuna depreciated by 0.12%, with one euro equal to HRK 7.486264.
The midpoint exchange rate of the US dollar was HRK 5.277220, after the kuna went up by 0.19%. The Croatian currency also rose against the pound, with one pound equal to HRK 8.507118.
