Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) leader Tomislav Karamarko said on Friday that his party would have answers to each statement such as the one of Serbian president-elect Tomislav Nikolic that Vukovar was a Serb town.
The HDZ chief also warned that Nikolic would have to distance himself form such statements if he wanted to prove his pro-European orientation.
During a break of an ongoing session of the HDZ main committee, Karamarko told reporters that Croatian state officials should definitely respond to Nikolic's statement.
