The first Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Radimir Cacic has said that an overview with the results of investments in Croatia in the first nine months of 2012 will be released by the end of October, expressing confidence that investments will be stepped up by the end of this year so that they may be higher by 20% in comparison to investments in 2011.

In the last quarter of 2012, we will have a marked acceleration of investments. We have raised plans for investments in public companies by 50% on the year, and we expect the realisation of 80% of those plans, which means that this year's investments will be higher by 20% compared to last year", Cacic said after visiting power plants in the surrounding of the Adriatic city of Split on Monday.

The minister announced the signing of a contract with the Samobor-headquartered DIV company on the privatisation of the Brodosplit shipyard.

"We will close that issue, first of all, in the sense of signing the contract", the minister said adding that after that, the new owner could start doing business in the dock in Split.

Business contacts with DIV are intensive and the signing of the contract is expected, Cacic said.
