The man arrested on Friday evening after throwing an explosive device on the terrace of a coffee house in Zagreb's Botinec neighbourhood and injuring seven people, is facing attempted murder charges, police sources reported on Saturday morning.
According to unofficial sources, the arrested man is a 52 year-old war veteran who threw the bomb after having an argument with some of the guests.
According to eyewitnesses, after throwing the explosive, the man did not run, but waited for the police and surrendered.
Police said that of the seven persons injured, three are in a serious condition, but nobody is critical.
