Serbia's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vucic, will visit Zagreb on Monday, the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs confirmed to the media on Thursday.
According to unofficial information, Vucic will meet with his host, Deputy Prime Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusic, President Ivo Josipovic, Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and Defence Minister Ante Kotromanovic.
Vucic, who heads the strongest political party in the Serbian coalition government -- the Serbian Progressive Party, is the highest official of the current Serbian government coming to Zagreb since it took office last July.
Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic met with his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic during his visit to Belgrade in January 2013. He said after the meeting that it was high time the tensions between the two countries were defused. The two prime ministers discussed outstanding issues, including refugees and displaced persons, tenancy rights, war crimes prosecution, borders, mutual lawsuits before the International Court of Justice, economic issues, and European integration.
