A team of Serbian doctors will examine Bosnian Serb wartime military leader Ratko Mladic in the Hague tribunal's detention unit, tribunal spokesman Nerma Jelacic said on Wednesday, adding that the team was expected to arrive next week.
She would not say anything about Mladic's condition.
He has complained about health problems and asked to be examined by Serbian doctors. Before being extradited to the UN court, he suffered a stroke which affected his health.
His lawyer Branko Lukic has told Bosnian media that he will be examined by a team comprising a neuropsychiatrist, a neurologist, a cardiologist and a respiratory physician from Belgrade's military hospital.
Lukic said Mladic's condition was serious, as he was confined to a wheelchair, bringing into question an arraignment scheduled for Thursday on an additional charge concerning a crime against Muslims in the Bosnian village of Bistina in 1995.
