Croatia is the fourth most favourite tourist destination in Europe, following the top three countries -- Austria, Switzerland and Sweden -- according to the British Guardian newspaper, the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) reported last Wednesday.

In early November the Croatian tourist sector will be promoted in London at the World Travel Market (WTM), a major global event for the travel industry.
From January to September this year, a total of 236,843 Britons visited Croatia, a five-percent rise year on year. They recorded 1.2 million overnight stays, a six-percent rise from the comparable period in 2009.
