The threatening letter that was delivered in a package to the Croatian Embassy in Berlin on Monday morning was addressed to President Ivo Josipovic over his friendly relations with Serbian President Boris Tadic, unofficial sources said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said earlier that the package contained an M-75 hand grenade with a fuse and a safety pin and a threatening letter. Minister Gordan Jandrokovic said he was in close contact with the German police, but that there was still no information as to who was behind that "insane act".
President Josipovic travels to Germany on Wednesday for a three-day official visit. His office said that preparations for the visit were going according to plan and that the visit would not be cancelled because of the incident in Berlin.
