Usain Bolt, a Jamaican sprinter and a three-time World and Olympic gold medalist, has confirmed his participation in an athletic meeting in Zagreb in September.
According to a statement issued on the web site of the International Association of the Athletics Federations (IAAF) on Monday, this world record holder "will compete in the 100m at Zagreb’s IAAF World Challenge meeting on 13 September before returning to Brussels."
He will be in Zagreb before competing in the 200m at the Belgacom Memorial Van Damme, the final leg of the Samsung Diamond League, on 16 September.
Bolt confirmed his participation in the sports events in Zagreb and Brussels after Daegu, Korea, where he will be defending his World titles in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m Relay. That Korean city is hosting the IAAF championships from 27 August to 4 September.
Bolt also competed in the Zagreb meeting in 2006 when he won the 200m sprint.
