In Sunday's referendum on Croatia's accession to the European Union, 66.24 per cent of citizens have voted for accession and 33.17 per cent have voted against, according to the State Election Commission after counting ballots from 97.84 per cent of polling stations.
The turnout has been 43.55 per cent, namely 1,915,175 voters of whom 1,268,974 have voted in favour of accession and 635,381 have voted against. There have been 11,455 invalid ballots (0.59 per cent), the State Election Commission said on its website at 9.30 p.m.
