Bosnia and Herzegovina expects the European Union (EU) to help it in resolving all outstanding issues related to the process of Croatia becoming a full member of the EU which will entail a new trade regime between the two countries, BH Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija said on Wednesday.
Following a meeting with Britain's Foreign Secretary William Hague, who is currently on an official visit to Sarajevo, Lagumdzija told journalists that the two had discussed the challenges that face the country once Croatia joins the EU, including the status of the Ploce port and free passage through Neum.
"I believe that political will exists on all sides, in Brussels, Zagreb and BH, to resolve these matters but due to the complexity of the situation it is important that we have the support of major European cities so that the problems are resolved to the satisfaction of Zagreb, Sarajevo and Brussels", Lagumdzija said.
Hague did not comment on the issue of border and trade matters between the two countries, however he reiterated that in general Britain supported BH on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
