The Croatian Parliament's Credentials and Privileges Commission decided on Wednesday that the term in office of Bianca Matkovic as a member of Parliament formally began on Monday.
The parliamentary term of Kresimir Cosic, who had stood in for Matkovic while she had served as a state secretary in the Ministry of Economy, ceased on Monday.
Matkovic was relieved of her duties in the government on November 19 at her personal request. Three days later she formally applied for the activation of her term as an MP.
Under the law, eight days must pass since the submission of the application before the applicant's parliamentary term can be activated.
