The average net monthly salary in Croatia in March amounted to HRK 5,480, up 4.5 per cent in nominal terms from February, the Central Bureau of Statistics said on Monday.
This was the first nominal net salary increase after three months of decline, by 1.9% in February, 2% in January and 2.4% in December. Presumably, this was due to the payment of Easter bonuses.
Year on year, the average net monthly salary in March was 2.2% higher in nominal terms. One should bear in mind that the March 2010 net salary was affected by the crisis emergency tax.
