Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina said on Wednesday that the Croatian government was unpleasantly surprised with the Bosnian Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Ministry's decision to ban imports of products of animal origin produced in inadequate facilities in Croatia, expressing hope Bosnian officials would re-examine their decision and if necessary Croatia would protect its interests through EU institutions.
Jakovina said there were 18 small companies in Croatia which could no longer export their goods to Bosnia, under the latest decision, and that their share in Croatia's trade with Bosnia was of minor significance, declining however to reveal their names.
