The Zagreb Stock Exchange indexes Crobex and Crobex10 on Tuesday went up by 1.35% to 2,050.69 points and by 1.33% to 1,082.83 points respectively, as a result of the positive response of investors to the defusion of the political situation in the country after the ruling Croatian Democratic Union expelled its honorary president Ivo Sanader following his attempt to take over the party.
Tuesday's turnover was HRK 46.1 million with the regular trading making up HRK41 million, three times higher than the regular trading Monday.
As many as eight stocks generated turnovers over HRK 1 million.
The HT telecommunications company turned over HRK 8.8 million at HRK 278 pershare, an increase of 0.72% from the first trading day of 2009.
The Atlantska Plovidba shipping company turned over HRK 4.6 million at HRK1,022.22 per share, up 3.26%.
The preferential shares of the tobacco and tourism Adris Grupa generated aturnover of HRK 4.05 million with a price rise of 0.20% per share to HRK 265.
