The State Election Commission (DIP) on Tuesday evening released the final official results of the December 4 election for the 7th Croatian Parliament.
DIP said in a statement that the election had been conducted in accordance with the Constitution and electoral legislation. The results were posted on DIP's website and will be published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday.
DIP Chairman Branko Hrvatin is to submit the final official election results to the President of the Republic, Ivo Josipovic, later in the evening.
According to the election results, the centre-left Kukuriku coalition won 80 seats in the 151-seat Parliament. Coalition leaders are expected to meet with President Josipovic on Wednesday to formally propose Zoran Milanovic of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) as Prime Minister-Elect.
Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court declared the election process finished, adding that the parliamentary election had been conducted in accordance with the Constitution and electoral legislation.
