Representatives of the civil initiative "Srdj je nas", Green Action and the environmental organisation "Friends of the earth Europe" held a news conference in the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik on Friday to talk about the projects "Ombla Hydroelectric Power Plant" and "Golf Park".
A representative of the "Friends of the earth Europe" association, Bertrand Sansonnens, expressed his concern about the consequences of the realisation of the two projects. Sansonnens said his association had sent a letter to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development asking to abandon the projects.
According to him, the two projects have not met the environmental protection conditions and needed to be stopped.
