AD Plastik, a leading Croatian manufacturer of plastic automotive components, is the winner of the Golden Kuna award, given by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) to big companies, for its excellent performance in 2012.
AD Plastik employes 830 people and exports over 95% of its production.
The award-giving ceremony was held in Zagreb on Thursday evening when the recipients were awarded in a total of seven categories: big companies, medium-sized companies, small-sized companies, banks, insurance companies, lifetime achievement and innovation.
According to the HGK jury for awarding those prizes, the best best performer in the medium-sized companies category in 2012 was Koncar- Instrument Transformers, and the best small business was the Sestan Busch company, which produces a wide range of equipment for army such as ballistic security equipment, biologic chemical protective items and plastic parts.
The best bank in 2012 was Erste&Steiermaerkische Bank, and the best insurer Allianz Zagreb.
The winner in the categor "life achievement" is Alica Wertheimer Baletic, an economic expert and a Croatian academician who is a member of the European Academy of Arts and Humanities. She was presented with this award for her great contribution to the development of demography as a science.
