Social Democratic Party (SDP) MP Mirela Holy confirmed to the press on Friday the media reports that Deputy Prime Minister Radimir Cacic had threatened her and that she had witnesses.
Holy said it was true what her former assistant Davor Skrlec had said - that Cacic had lunged at her in a restaurant.
"Well, he grabbed my arm, yes," she said, adding that two ministers and one person from the government had seen it and that none had come to her defence.
Holy confirmed that she had informed PM Zoran Milanovic that she was being pressured and that Cacic had threatened her.
She recently resigned as environment minister over an e-mail in which she asked the chairman of the HZ rail operator's management board to protect a party colleague.
Reporters asked her to comment on e-mails in which Cacic's chief of staff allegedly asked that Josim Jambrac from Cacic's Croatian People's Party (HNS) be appointed deputy director of the environment fund.
She said that upon resigning, she said the rules of the game should be the same for everyone.
