The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia on Friday appointed a trial chamber of three judges for the case against Ratko Mladic, the Bosnian Serb wartime military commander accused of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina who was arrested in Serbia on Thursday after 15 years on the run.

The chamber will be presided over by Judge Christoph Flugge of Germany and also comprise Alphons Orie of the Netherlands and Bakone Justice Moloto of South Africa.

The trial chamber appointment was decided by Judge as acting ICTY president.
