President Ivo Josipovic said in an interview with the commercial broadcaster Nova TV on Wednesday that he would meet with Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and that talks were under way on holding a session of the Defence and National Security Council at which they would definitely meet.
Asked if he and PM Kosor should have one-on-one talks to improve their relations which have become strained lately, Josipovic said that it would not be bad, but that it would be very important for the prime minister and her HDZ party to abandon their current election strategy.
"I believe that it harms them (the HDZ) the most, but it also harms relations in society," Josipovic said among other things.
