Former Prime Minister and former president of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Jadranka Kosor, confirmed on Thursday she filed a motion with the Constitutional Court two days ago asking it to examine if the decision under which she was expelled from the party was in line with the Constitution.
Kosor told reporters in parliament she filed another motion with the Administration Ministry saying that after consulting with her lawyer, she decided to file a constitutional lawsuit as she was confident that her being expelled from the HDZ was not in line with the law, the party statute and the Constitution.
The HDZ declined to comment on Kosor's suit, saying that as far as the party was concerned this was a done story.
