Commenting on Social Democratic Party leader Zoran Milanovic's refusal to attend a meeting of all parliamentary parties she convened for Thursday on the topic of Croatia's European Union membership talks, Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said on Tuesday that "those who are for Croatia's entry into the EU will come, and those who are against it will not come".

Those who are for completing Croatia's EU membership talks will come to that meeting, and those who are against it will not, Kosor told reporters before the start of today's meeting of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) caucus in the national parliament.

Kosor invited all parliamentary parties to come to the meeting at the government, which has been set for Thursday and will discuss how to improve the communication strategy to inform Croatian citizens about their country's admission to the European bloc.

The opposition SDP's leader has turned down the invitation, interpreting Kosor's decision to convene the meeting primarily as PR.

Kosor replied that Milanovic wanted to "turn everything to ashes".

The premier expressed satisfaction with the support she was given during her talks with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and Justice Commissioner Viviane Reding.

"Yesterday I received full, real, support with which I am satisfied and the job of completing the negotiations and holding a referendum is awaiting us," Kosor told reporters today in the parliament.
