The last square meter of the Krka National Park has been cleared of land mines and the park's director Tonci Restovic on Tuesday received a certificate to state that there were no mine suspected areas in the park and that it was completely safe.
The park was combed from September of November last year by a mine clearing company that checked over 204,417 square meters and the local villages around the park.
The last phase was financed with HRK 1 million after funds were collected through a special humanitarian aid campaign earmarked for the park along with a donation from the ITF Enhancing Human Security foundation.
