The Krsko nuclear power plant was reconnected to the electricity grid at 10am on Sunday following an automatic shutdown on February 25, the plant said in a statement.
The shutdown was caused by mechanical damage to an isolation valve on the main steam line in the secondary part of the power plant, which required cooling of the system.
All essential parts of the isolation valve have been replaced and a full review and modification of both isolation valves on the main steam line will be carried out during a regular overhaul scheduled for autumn, the statement said.
